Weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga biography hails from the state of Mizoram in India. In 2018, he made history by being the first Indian athlete to ever win a gold medal at the Youth Olympics. As Jeremy’s coach, Malsawma Khiangte encouraged him to try out for the Army Sports Institute trials in 2011. In reviewing his performance at the World Youth Championships, in which he won a silver medal, they determined that Jeremy was a formidable opponent. As well as two silver medals at the World Championships in 2017, Jeremy won two silver medals at the Asian Championships in 2018.
