CUET 2022 – UGC Public Notification
University Grants Commission(UGC) has released the public notice regarding the CUET 2022 and confirmed that the application for CUCET Entrance Exam will be started in 1st week of April 2022. The UGC also mentioned that CUET 2022 will be conducted in 13 languages namely Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia, English, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Assamese, Kannada, Malayalam by National Testing Agency. The CUET 2022 can be adopted by the State/ Private / Deemed to be Universities.
CUET 2022 Admission List
An admission list will be prepared by the participating universities of CUET 2022, the admission list will be based on the choices filled by the candidates. The CUET 2022 admission list includes the details of selected candidates such as their name, roll number, category, and rank. This year, Visva Bharati University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Banaras Hindu University will offer admissions to the candidates in their UG programme through the CUET 2022 scores.
CUET 2022 Exam Date
CUET exam 2022 in first week of July
UGC on Monday announced that the CUCET 2022 /CUCET 2022 Exam Date for undergraduate admissions is expected to be conducted in the first week of July. NTA will soon release the CUET 2022 exam schedule on its website.
CUET 2022 – Not compulsory for PG admission
The CUET 2022 results will not be required for admission to PG programmes of participating universities. Furthermore, many universities have already incorporated CUCET 2022 results for admission to their PG programmes. The public notice released by UGC also mentioned that most of the participating universities of CUET 2022 will accept the CUCET 2022 score to provide admission in PG courses.
CUET 2022 Exam Pattern
The CUET 2022 exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift paper consists of two domain-specific papers, a general test, and one language paper. While the second shift paper consists of the remaining four domain-specific subjects and one optional language subject including German, French, Arabic, etc. The question paper of CUET 2022 will be based on the syllabus of Class 12. The candidates prepare for CUET 2022 with the help of NCERT books of Class 12. The CUET 2022 syllabus is flexible and systematic, candidates coming from different boards can also crack CUET 2022 exam with good scores.

CUET 2022 – No weightage given to Class 12 marks
Now the candidates getting fewer marks in the Class 12th examination can also get admission in the prestigious universities, which were taking admission to their Undergraduate courses through Class 12th marks. Now admission to central universities for undergraduate programmes will be solely dependent on the CUET 2022 scores. The candidates must have a minimum percentage in Class 12th required to get eligible for admission to the central universities. The CUET 2022 entrance exam will minimise the financial load on students because they will not have to write numerous admissions examinations to get admission in their desired university.
CUET 2022 – Maximum Six Domains Can be Selected
The CUET 2022 exam will have a total of 27 domain-specific examinations, with students able to take two of them during the first shift. Students can take the remaining four domain-specific examinations during the second shift of the CUET 2022 exam. The students can choose a maximum of six domains in CUET 2022. The domain of CUET 2022 includes Informatics Practices, Economics/ Business Economics, Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, Geography, History, Home Science, Knowledge Tradition–Practices India, Legal Studies, Commercial Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education/ Accountancy/Book Keeping, Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science. NCC, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Teaching Aptitude, Agriculture, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Anthropology, Fine Arts/ Visual Arts (Sculpture/ Painting), Performing Arts and Sanskrit.
What is CUET 2022?
Several governments have attempted, over the years, to replace several admission examinations with a single one in order to decrease the load on aspirants who wants to pursue their higher education in a prestigious university. Common University Entrance Test i.e. CUET is not a new concept. Central Institutions Common Entrance Test also known as a CUCET was established under the UPA-II government in 2010. The Central University of Rajasthan was responsible for CUCET from 2010 to 2020. CUCET was a common entrance exam but it failed to gain traction because just 14 central universities had implemented it till last year. In the year 2021, National Testing Agency took over the charge to conduct CUCET. CUET is the updated version of CUCET. Now 45 universities have confirmed their participation in CUET 2022.

What will CUET 2022 test a candidate on?
The chairman of the University Grants Commission(UGC) stated that the 3.30 hr online entrance test will only have multiple-choice questions based on the Class 12th syllabus. National Testing Agency is conducting CUET 2022 to check the general reasoning of candidates. CUET 2022 is divided into three parts. In the first part, the knowledge language will be checked, the candidates can opt language of their choice among the 13 languages. The language test includes reading comprehension, questions based on vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms, etc. The 13 languages for the language tests are Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia, English, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Assamese, Kannada, Malayalam.
For the second shift test, the authority has provided flexibility in language to candidates. The candidates can choose their desired language among 19 languages to take the second shift test. These 19 languages include Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, French, Spanish, Russian and Chinese. In the second shift of CUET 2022 domain-specific knowledge of candidates will be checked. There will be 27 domains, in which candidates can choose a minimum of one and a maximum of 6 domains. The Central Universities will determine the domains as per the courses they are offering.

Who is eligible for CUET 2022?
To be eligible for CUET 2022 UG exam, candidates must have completed 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board. For the CUET 2022 PG exam, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university. The minimum marks necessary to be eligible for admission differs depending upon the programme and candidate’s category in CUET 2022.
CUET 2022: No aptitude test for admissions
The CUCET entrance exam 2022 will consist of no aptitude test. The CUET 2022 entrance exam will consist of a general test, a compulsory language test and domain specific tests.
CUET 2022 Exam Centers
CUCET 2022 will be held at more than 154 centres in various states. The candidates have to select the choice of exam centres while filling out their CUET 2022 Application Form.
